This week has been a good week. I have been thinking about what God has brought me through in the past. I don't think that I could have done it on my own. I have learned to live a life of praise. When things don't go the way I plan or I find stubbling block along my path. I give Him praise. you see the Bible say that, we should praise the lord at all times. I give Him total Praise.
What is something you praise God for?

Street Lights
Yesterday I was driving. There were street lights along the road lighting the way. Then I came to a street where the street lights were out. As I drove down that road I could see that at the end of the street there was one street light on, it covered the stop sign. Reflecting back on that drive it reminded me that sometimes in our lives the path is not always as lit as we expect. But when we do see the light we need to stop and be still. Ready to listen. Christ never leads us astray. He is always lighting the path guiding us in the right way.
Isaiah 42:16 (NIV)
I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them.
God has given us his promise. Post your thoughts.

Devotional Patterns
When I was growing up, I thought that the only time to do devotions was early in the morning at about four or five. I also thought that it had to include four or five songs from the Seventh-day Adventist Hymnal; A Morning Watch reading; Study of the Sabbath School Lesson and a long prayer. This pattern was ingrained and embedded in me because this was what was done in my home. I felt that to stray from that path was sacrilegious or downright sinful. However, with the passing of years and a better understanding of scripture, my personality and God's desire for growth, I have come to recognize that we all don't do things the same way and our walk with God is much different. There is no right or wrong pattern.
Today, I get up later than 4 or 5 am ( that is sometimes when I go to sleep...do not tell anyone). I start about 10 minutes after rising and follow this Sequence : I do not necessarily sing hymns only but sometimes vary between listening a few songs from my computer playlist ( sometimes singing along with it) and or singing contemporary praise and worship songs. I spend about 20 minutes reading the Bible and thinking of its application to my own life. I try to find at least four application points. For the most part, I follow a sequential reading ( I am now reading the book of Exodus). I then close with meditation and prayer. The total time for my devotion ranges between 30 minutes to 45 minutes.
What is your devotional life like? Do you have daily devotions? If not, why not? If you do, Share the composition of your daily devotions.

What if God Changed?
Last week I was listening to a CD while on my way to church and in introducing the upcoming song, the artist asked : "What if God Changed His Mind?" AS I thought of that and what Latoya said in her blog, I have to think of that Question: What if God changed his mind and not send the sun out, or give us Oxygen, or give us the opportunity for everlasting life. What if? Amazing thought isn't it?

The week has just started and already I feel like I can't wait until next Sabbath. I look forward to my day of rest and the opportunity to fellowship with my christian friends. God is so great that he knows what our week is going to be like and he prepares us and equips us to go through the week.
Dear God, Thank you so much for being in my life. Thank you for the opportunity to call on your name. lord I know that we don't always give you the all the honor and the praise, but God I just want to say thanks for being my friend and providing for me. Forgive me of my sins. In Jesus name. Amen
Post your thought for this week.
